Day 10 - Gestalt Principles

“Gestalt Principles are principles/laws of human perception that describe how humans group similar elements, recognize patterns and simplify complex images when we perceive objects.”

Gestalt principles are crucial to visual design.

Three of the Gestalt principles are:

Similarity

Elements tend to be integrated into groups if they look similar to each other.

Proximity

Elements tend to be perceived as related if they are close to each other.

Common Region

Elements located within the same area are perceived to be together.
